La modernizaci\u00f3n del sistema vial y la creaci\u00f3n de nuevas conexiones estrat\u00e9gicas forman parte de las principales propuestas presentadas durante la Audiencia P\u00fablica de Rendici\u00f3n de Cuentas 2026, realizada hoy por la Municipalidad Provincial de Abancay.<\/div>\n

Durante su exposici\u00f3n, el alcalde provincial Ra\u00fal Pe\u00f1a tambi\u00e9n se\u00f1al\u00f3 que el acelerado crecimiento urbano de la ciudad ha generado una creciente presi\u00f3n sobre la infraestructura vial existente, situaci\u00f3n que se refleja diariamente en los accesos al centro de la ciudad y en los principales corredores de tr\u00e1nsito.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
La autoridad explic\u00f3 que sectores de la parte sur y norte de la ciudad y otras zonas de expansi\u00f3n urbana concentran actualmente una importante cantidad de poblaci\u00f3n, lo que ha incrementado significativamente el flujo vehicular hacia el casco urbano. \/\/ \u201cAbancay ya rebas\u00f3 todas sus calles\u201d \/\/, manifest\u00f3 el burgomaestre al referirse a los problemas de congesti\u00f3n que se presentan en diversos puntos de la ciudad, especialmente en la zona sur.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Frente a esta realidad, inform\u00f3 que la municipalidad viene ejecutando este proyecto vial de gran envergadura denominado V\u00eda Expresa Sur, concebido para mejorar la conectividad entre los sectores del sur y el centro de la ciudad. Seg\u00fan explic\u00f3, la propuesta contempla la habilitaci\u00f3n de una nueva v\u00eda al borde del r\u00edo Chinchichaca, con cuatro (04) carriles de circulaci\u00f3n, dos de subida y dos de bajada, que permitir\u00e1 descongestionar los actuales accesos urbanos y ofrecer una alternativa de tr\u00e1nsito m\u00e1s eficiente para miles de ciudadanos.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

El alcalde indic\u00f3 que, para avanzar en este proyecto, se vienen desarrollando coordinaciones con vecinos y propietarios de predios ubicados en el \u00e1rea de influencia de la futura infraestructura vial, destacando la disposici\u00f3n de algunos ciudadanos que han respaldado la iniciativa en favor del desarrollo urbano de Abancay.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Asimismo, precis\u00f3 que la prolongaci\u00f3n de la avenida Ayacucho, obra que tambi\u00e9n fue entrega por esta gesti\u00f3n, forma parte de la estrategia de integraci\u00f3n vial planteada por la municipalidad, ya que esta importante arteria se conectar\u00e1 directamente con la futura V\u00eda Expresa Sur.Durante la audiencia tambi\u00e9n inform\u00f3 sobre el avance de otro proyecto estrat\u00e9gico denominado Autov\u00eda Norte, orientado a fortalecer la conectividad en el sector norte de la ciudad y acompa\u00f1ar el crecimiento urbano que actualmente se registra hacia zonas como San Antonio y Marcahuasi.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

De acuerdo con lo se\u00f1alado por la autoridad provincial, esta iniciativa se encuentra en una etapa avanzada de gesti\u00f3n ante el Ministerio de Transportes y Comunicaciones y permitir\u00e1 consolidar una nueva estructura de movilidad para la ciudad en los pr\u00f3ximos a\u00f1os.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

El proyecto se encuentra adem\u00e1s vinculado a la futura implementaci\u00f3n del Terminal Terrestre Norte, infraestructura destinada a recibir buses interprovinciales e interregionales de mayor capacidad, contribuyendo a reducir la presi\u00f3n vehicular que actualmente soporta el centro de Abancay.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

La autoridad municipal sostuvo que estas intervenciones forman parte de una visi\u00f3n integral de desarrollo urbano que busca anticiparse al crecimiento de la ciudad, mejorar la movilidad de la poblaci\u00f3n y garantizar una infraestructura acorde con las necesidades futuras de la provincia.<\/div>\n
